The SEC named it’s Freshman of the week and South Carolina’s Quarterback Jake Bentley earned the honor.
Completing 22-of 28 passes for 254 yards and accounting for 2 touchdown passes for the win against Missouri, it’s easy to see how the SEC could choose this young man. In the three games Bentley has started he has racked up a total of 622 yards, 6 touchdowns, with no interceptions.
The Gamecocks have been rolling in the honors for two weeks in a row as Jamarcus King was named the Defensive Player of the Week after the Tennessee game.
