SEC Football

With a win on Saturday, Florida will be one win away from clinching back-to-back SEC East championships. The Gators will welcome former Florida head coach Will Muschamp to Spurrier field, as Muschamp looks to extend his Gamecocks’ three-game win-streak. A win would make South Carolina bowl eligble in his first season as head coach of the Gamecocks.

Auburn travels to Athens for a battle between the hedges, a place where Auburn hasn’t won in since 2005. However, Saturday’s matchup will be the first since 1997 where the Tigers travel to Athens as favorites.

Billy:

Last week’s record: 3-4
Season record: 40-33 (54% ATS)

Keach:

Season record: 44-29 (60% ATS)

Josh:

Kentucky (5-4) vs. Tennessee (6-3) Game Preview

Line

Tennessee -13, o/u: 60

Broadcast

Date: Saturday, Nov. 12
Game Time: 12:00 pm
Venue: Neyland Stadium, Knoxville, TN
Network: SEC Network

Tennessee is having fun now after realizing they can’t just win with the, “T” on their helmet and that’s on Butch Jones. He mismanaged this team all season, but the Vols’ seemed to play loose last week. Maybe things have settled down in Knoxville and they can focus on playing football.

This Tennessee roster isn’t the same as when the season started, thanks to a slew of major injuries and defections. Kentucky should be able to run the football and shorten the game. I haven’t seen a team in the SEC East worthy of a two-touchdown favorite, I’ll take the points.

The Picks:

Billy: Tennessee

Keach: Tennessee

Josh: Kentucky

Alabama (9-0) vs. Mississippi State (4-5) Game Preview

Line

Alabama -29, o/u: 55.5

Broadcast

Date: Saturday, Nov. 12
Game Time: 12:00 pm
Venue: Bryant-Denny Stadium, Tuscaloosa, AL
Network: ESPN

Alabama ain’t suffering a let down after the LSU game, come on! This is Alabama, in Tuscaloosa, the Tide will destroy the Bulldogs at the line of scrimmage.

This one will be ugly, but 30 points is a pile of points.

The Picks:

Billy: Alabama

Keach: Alabama

Josh: MSU, Bama tends to take their foot off the gas, so I’ll take the points.

South Carolina (5-4) vs. Florida (6-2) Game Preview

Line

Florida -11.5, o/u: 37.5

Broadcast

Date: Saturday, Nov. 12
Game Time: 12:00 pm
Venue: Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, Gainesville, FL
Network: CBS

Good lord, Florida is the walking wounded. 11.5 points against an improving South Carolina team, crazy!

Florida has better talent overall. But I’ll keep this one short. I don’t expect either offense to look great and Roper will be super conservative, as always. So, the 11.5-point number is too stiff for my taste.

The Picks:

Billy: Florida

Keach: South Carolina

Josh: South Carolina

Auburn (7-2) vs. Georgia (5-4) Game Preview

Line

Georgia -10.5, o/u: 48

Broadcast

Date: Saturday, Nov. 12
Game Time: 3:30 pm
Venue: Sanford Stadium, Athens, GA
Network: CBS

Auburn has everything on the line in this one and history has shown the underdog typically does well in this rivalry.

Smart has faced Malzhan numerous times while at Alabama under Saban. Smart will have a game plan in place to slow down the Tiger rushing attack. This will be Kirby’s lone shinning moment in what’s been a disappointing season for the Dawgs.

The Picks:

Billy: Auburn

Keach: Auburn

Josh: Dawgs – Auburn wins, but not by 10.5

Vanderbilt (4-5) vs. Missouri (2-7) Game Preview

Line

Missouri -3.5, o/u: 52.5

Broadcast

Date: Saturday, Nov. 12
Game Time: 3:30 pm
Venue: Faurot Field, Columbia, MO
Network: SEC Network

Vegas clearly knows something I don’t. How is Mizzou favored? No clue, I’m taking Vanderbilt and the points.

Vanderbilt has been competitive lately, I think Derek Mason will record his second career SEC road victory on Saturday.

The Picks:

Billy: Vanderbilt

Keach: Missouri

Josh: Vanderbilt

LSU (5-3) vs. Arkansas (6-3) Game Preview

Line

LSU -7, o/u: 46

Broadcast

Date: Saturday, Nov. 12
Game Time: 7:00 pm
Venue: Razorback Stadium, Fayetteville, AR
Network: ESPN

LSU is recovering from the Alabama slugfest, while Arkansas is coming off a blow out of the Gators. This will be a field goal game. The LSU defense will do enough to slow down the Arkansas offense and win a low scoring game.

The LSU offensive line can’t block, but Fournette and the run game will roll in this one and the passing game will open up for Etling. Give me the road team, Arkansas will wear down late.

The Picks:

Billy: LSU

Keach: Arkansas

Josh: LSU

Ole Miss (4-5) vs. Texas A&M (7-2) Game Preview

Line

Texas A&M -20, o/u: 55

Broadcast

Date: Saturday, Nov. 12
Game Time: 7:30 pm
Venue: Kyle Field, College Stadium, TX
Network: SEC Network

Battle of the backup QB’s. Ole Miss can’t stop the run.

The Picks:

Billy: Ole Miss

Keach: Ole Miss

Josh: Ole Miss

While we’ll track season performance against the spread, please remember these picks are for entertainment purposes only, you do NOT want to wager any MOOLA based on our picks. If you do, you should be slapped.
